Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend was rather uneventful for the most part. I did get the books Lil sent me on Saturday and plan on reading the baby one first, when I'm done with the one I'm reading. Other than that, we just watched some movies that were mostly lame, and went to the flea market and stuff. Then on Memorial Day, it took me like 3 hours, but I had a great time re-doing & expanding my garden, staking my peas and such. Here are some delightful, updated pics of my garden.
BEFORE:AFTER:
It is so peaceful & nice out there, and my tomatoes and lettuce are going crazy. My Volcano peppers have a couple guys on them that are almost ready and I can't wait to see what they taste like!!! And that bashel of flowers (on the right) was half price at ACE, so I sprung for my very first flower purchase, which is a cute addition I think. And that's about it, ladies.

Gardening updates

It's been amazing to see the progress in my garden since May 4th:

And here it is now:and I've gotten like 3 grocery bags full of lettuce already, and a dozen cherry tomatoes! yum! These are some new additions that recently sprouted. They are beans and snow peas and lentils.

My busy little world...

I gave the bird raspberries and he splattered them everywhere! And James didn't realize it was raspberry and he thought the bird was bleeding and got all freaked out...it was hilarious! Here's his raspberry-covered head:
And the Twilight convention was freakin' awesome!!! I got a few pics of Peter Facinelli but my camera really sucks, and has like NO zoom-in power:
And my hubby snagged a couple pics of me gardening yesterday, floppy hat & all -

Bruising & Bleeding

The incision site has been bleeding a few drops from the end of this penis today, but the bruising looks better. The bleeding gave me a bit of a scare, but apparently the fact that it's not swollen and there doesn't appear to be any blood gathering under the skin, means it still should be ok. Other than the look of it, he's doing really well, though. He's pretty much his usual self, so that's good.

Post-surgery Pics

So here's how it went with the baby bear. When I picked him up, he was all drugged-out and nodding off in the car like an old man, on the way home:
His tumor incision is pretty swollen & bruised so we have to put ice packs on it every 4 to 6 hours for the next 3 days. It's so sad & painful looking:

The mole on his chest that had been bleeding alot when he laid on his tummy was our original concern when we went to Illinois. It's kinda the reason we had his skin looked at at all. The Dr. said it looked a little iffy, so he took out alot all the way around it, just so it wouldn't cause problems in the future. Here's that incision:

He's doing pretty well, all-in-all. This morning he was almost back to his normal self... very lovey & needy but following us around, begging, the usual:

That bare spot ^ on his leg is from the IV. He's so weirdly normal. It makes James & I wonder just how bad he was when we picked him up from borading at the Vet kennel before because it took him like 4 or 5 days to be completely normal from that! They must have really hurt him or something. But anyway, thanks so much for the prayers you guys. God definately did his best work, here! Praise God!
